We are about to embark on an exciting three-year strategy that builds upon recent achievements, putting our members at the heart of everything we do, and enabling us to remain at the forefront of developments in rheumatology care. We are looking for a dynamic individual to drive the Society forward in to the future.
The successful candidate will be a commercially astute, innovative leader, with an understanding of the intricacies of the charity sector. You will have strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead a very competent and experienced team.
There is outward-focused work to be done to increase membership and engage similar organisations and sponsors, so your work history will demonstrate a keen ability to develop partnerships and commercial relationships with a broad range of players.

We are seeking a talented executive, educated to a degree level (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience in a marketing team.
This role forms part of the Marketing and Education team who are responsible for BSR’s marketing and communications activity. This is a key support role which contributes to the development and delivery of the organisational marketing and communications strategies.
This role will be expected to work closely with the Head of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager plus internal stakeholders to deliver activities and campaigns across multiple channels, with a particular focus on digital and social media. In addition, this role involves end-to-end ownership and leadership of key projects such as the society’s annual report and exhibitions presence.
This is a 9 month role in which you will be vital in supporting the busy operations & membership department during a period of change. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and provide accurate and efficient administration and help to maintain membership records to a high and consistent standard of accuracy, process new membership applications, renewals and reinstatements within stated timelines. You will also support the operations team in facilities management; providing a first-class service to BSR staff, tenants and visitors
Supporting the President and Chief Executive of BSR, this is a role that requires a team player but one who has the ability to work with substantial independence and initiative. This will include being proactive and confident with a range of people, tasks and situations, including providing support to the governance team. You will be used to working at a senior level within a charitable organisation and your experience of juggling multiple priorities will ensure your success.
