This course is aimed at general rheumatology consultants and trainees, and is  also suitable for allied health professionals, including osteoporosis nurse specialists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Teaching is case-based, and focuses on common clinical scenarios and treatment dilemmas. After attending this course, you'll be fully up-to-date regarding current treatment guidelines, and confident in addressing the bone health needs of your patients.

Learning objectives

  • Receive an evidence-based overview of osteoporosis diagnosis, investigation and management
  • Improve their awareness of current treatment guidelines, including recent guidance changes
  • Become confident in the assessment of fracture risk, and the appropriate targeting of available osteoporosis therapies
