We’re delighted to announce our new Innovators podcast mini-series. Hosted by Dr Lizzy Macphie, Consultant Rheumatologist and quality improvement enthusiast, our aim is to celebrate fantastic examples of innovation and best practice from across the rheumatology community. We’ll be deep diving into the winning projects from our 2024 Best Practice Awards, collaborating with NASS to celebrate their brilliant Changemakers, and much more.
Get to know our podcast guests as they explain the driving force behind their projects, the impact they’ve had on their services, patients and team, and offer thoughtful advice to others looking to tackle similar challenges. We hope that this mini-series leaves you feeling inspired and ready to make positive change within your own clinical settings.
“It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to host this series. I’ve learnt so much more about the projects - many of which were presented at
conference. The podcasts allow further insight into the drivers and challenges and are scattered with helpful tips for the rheumatology
community. At a time where the NHS is under such enormous pressures it’s essential that we share good practice and learn from
each other.” – Dr Lizzy Macphie
Can I listen now?
Yes – our first episode is available now. We’re focusing on the Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) Network, which brings together specialists from rheumatology, haematology, infectious diseases and more to provide rapid collaborative care for patients with this challenging diagnosis.
To listen, head to our Talking Rheumatology podcast website or search ‘Talking Rheumatology’ in your favourite podcast app.
I know a great example of rheumatology innovation – how can I tell you about it?
