Last summer we circulated a survey on behalf of Dr Puja Mehta and Dr Sarah Mackie to members looking to evaluate corticosteroid sick-day rule counselling and highlight an educational need to prevent adrenal crisis. Thanks to all who took the time to respond.
The results from the first 100 respondents highlighted wide variations in practice due to the pandemic, with almost 70% changing their usual practice. The full results were published in the Lancet Rheumatology and will help inform further planned cross-specialty work in this field to improve the care of patients on long-term corticosteroids.
