Versus Arthritis' 'Guide to the clinical assessment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions’ handbook is formally endorsed by BSR.

The handbook focuses on the clinical aspects of patients with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, on taking a history, examinations and how to record them, and investigations.

Education Committee member Dr Pippa Watson wrote the foreword for the latest, recently released edition and shares her thoughts below on why this is such a useful resource and how what is learnt can be practically applied to everyday practice.

The handbook is a useful study guide resource for medical, nursing and allied health professional students. It takes a step-by-step approach to assessing people with musculoskeletal conditions to help you become competent and confident in their care.
