This core skills course for rheumatology offers essential curriculum-based education across all professional groups, taught through interactive lectures and group discussions

  • Hot swollen joint
  • Giant cell arteritis and other vasculitides
Topics for health professionals and nurses include:
  • Working with fatigue: patient activation
  • Non-pharmacological management of symptoms
  • Motivational interviewing: what is it and how to harness it
Learning objectives
  • To provide attendees with an in-depth refresher and update of basic core skills for those working within rheumatology
  • To ensure attendees are aware of best practice in examining the musculoskeletal system
  • To ensure attendees are familiar with biopsychosocial model in holistic management of patients with rheumatic diseases
