Developed by clinical and research leaders in foot and ankle rheumatology, this programme offers the opportunity to refresh your knowledge about the foot and ankle and gain confidence in assessing and managing foot and ankle disorders in rheumatology.

Learning objectives
  • To improve attendees’ skills and confidence in assessing and managing the foot and ankle in rheumatology.
  • To provide attendees with a refresher of foot and ankle anatomy.  
  • To improve attendees’ knowledge of how rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (including inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases, and non-inflammatory conditions) present in the foot and ankle .
  • To ensure attendees understand the role of the multidisciplinary team within foot and ankle rheumatology services .
  • To provide attendees with an in-depth overview of conservative, pharmacological and surgical treatment options for foot and ankle disorders in rheumatology.

Health professionals, nurses and trainees can apply for an education bursary for this course; you could access up to £300 towards the cost of the registration fee, travel and accommodation. Bursaries for education courses in 2026 will open in January.
