There is an exciting opportunity for a doctor in training or a member of the wider paediatric or adult rheumatology team, working at Band 7 or above, to work with an experienced team of senior clinicians and data analysts during a 12-month BSR / GIRFT fellowship post.
The successful applicant will step out of their current role for three days per week to explore national clinical datasets across the life course, likely focussing on prescribing data. The fellow will learn with a team of GIRFT fellows from across England, with access to:
- A 12-month QI / data analysis education programme
- A range of senior NHS data analysts
- A wide range of NHS datasets
- Support as needed with data analysis
Applicants must have an active NHS contract and written confirmation from their employer that they will be released for 60% WTE for a 12-month period, September 2025 to September 2026. There will be some flexibility around start dates. Payment for the fellowship will be through a Memorandum of Understanding with the parent trust.
