We're delighted to reveal available positions within the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme. These roles include a National Paediatric Rheumatology Clinical Lead and four Specialty Advisors, each specialising in Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy, Psychology, and specialised nursing.

Their role involves spearheading a review to pinpoint unwarranted variations, emphasizing pathway development, best practice sharing, and targeted support for trusts facing challenges.

About the role

The positions in England will involve working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders, including the British Society of Rheumatology, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Rheumatology CRG, NHSE, and commissioning teams.

Using the GIRFT methodology, the candidates will provide clinical leadership and will lead the development of an in-depth review designed to improve the treatment and care of patients whilst addressing unwarranted variation.

The clinical lead post is for 0.2WTE/2P per week and specialty advisors for 0.1WTE/1PA per week each. Please note that the roles will be retained via a service level agreement (SLA) with your home trust. GIRFT is a programme of NHS England so candidates should have a substantive contract with an English NHS Trust.
