We are pleased to announce that Rheumatology is expanding its Associate Editor team in the subject areas of myositis, sjögren disease, systemic sclerosis, osteoporosis and vasculitis (we are looking for expertise in both small-vessel vasculitis and large-vessel vasculitis).
Associate Editors are central to the Journal’s continued development, and hold the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the Editor-in-Chief throughout the peer review process
- Helping to ensure the acceptance of high-quality articles
- Inviting appropriate peer reviewers
- Making recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief
- Participating in Associate Editor and Editorial Board meetings to help set strategic objectives for the Journal
We estimate that the time commitment for this role is 1-2 hours per week.

Your cover letter should detail your history as a peer reviewer, as well as any relevant editorial experience.
Applicants should regularly review and publish in their chosen subject area. Previous Editorial Board experience is preferred but not essential. The term of appointment is three years and may be extended by mutual agreement for an agreed amount of time.
