As we wrap up a busy year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support and contributions. Together, we've led and supported the specialty, witnessing remarkable progress in rheumatology in 2024. None of this would have been possible without you!
Let’s take a look at some of the amazing achievements we’ve made this year:
- We campaigned to improve the safety and performance of UK homecare medicines services. Over 100 members took our e-action, and over 250 members responded to surveys and case studies.
- An extraordinary success of our Annual and Case-based Conferences this year. We welcomed over 2,500 delegates combined; we can't wait to see you again next year!
- The nurse job planning guidance was a hit with our nurse members, as we brought insights into championing their profession.
- Our guidelines on sjögren disease, systemic sclerosis and behçets were all publicised this year and hugely successful.
- The launch of a fantastic resource to support patient initiated follow-up (PIFU).
- Our education courses were a hit with members with 650 delegates attending, 89 bursaries awarded and 145 hours of new CPD.
- Over 30,000 podcasts were downloaded across our three podcasts across 74 countries and Talking Rheumatology Spotlight had 83% new listeners on Spotify.
- We released the NEIAA sixth annual audit report on World Mental Health Day, which highlights the important connection between mental health and rheumatology outcomes.
