BSR's ePROMs platform, launched in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to facilitate collection of patient reported outcome measure (PROM) data now that remote consultations are here to stay.

There are now more than 1000 patients using the platform which has recently been updated to include more questionnaires than ever before:

1. Musculoskeletal Health Questionnaire (MSK-HQ)

2. Patient Joint Counts – Disease Activity Score (DAS28)

3. Wellbeing (PHQ2/GAD2)

4. Impact on daily life – Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ Short)

5. Work Questionnaire (WQ)

6. Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI)

7. Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) (Under 25)

8. ANCA-associated Vasculitis Patient-Reported Outcome Questionnaire (AAV-PRO)

9. Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire (BMQ)

10. The Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (IPQ)

11. The Compliance Questionnaire Rheumatology (CQR)

12. EUROQOL 5D 5L (EQ-5D)

13. FATIGUE – Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy – Fatigue Scale (FACIT)

14. Medication Adherence Report Scale (MARS)

15. Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity Index – 5 (RADAI-5)

16. Routine Assessment of Patient Index Data (RAPID-3)

17. Work Productivity Survey – Rheumatoid Arthritis (WPS-RA)

The ePROMs platform, freely available to anyone who cares for rheumatology patients in the UK, offers a solution for many departments with the option to collect PROMs from patients at regular intervals and observe trends. With the redesign of patient pathways, this information can then be used to help determine whether an appointment is required and what type of appointment would be appropriate.

The BSR is also open to working with anyone who is conducting research, or wishes to. We recently teamed up with the Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to allow Dr Kenneth Baker and his team to use the ePROMs system to further their research pilot: Remote monitoring of disease and physical activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
